When Is National Children’s Day?

This is an interesting question. Since I noticed on my calendar today (October 14,2007) that it said it was National Children’s Day, this certainly seems like a topic that should be covered in this blog.

Noticing it on the calendar was the first I recall hearing about it so I did some research and found some interesting results. Apparently, there is such a thing as Children’s Day in many countries around the world, but countries observe the day at different times of the year.

President Clinton proclaimed Children’s Day as the White House site explains. That year it was a different day of the month than this year as other sources say it is to be observed on the second Sunday of October.

Find the date of Children’s Day for your country here.

Have you heard of this day being set aside before and seen any observance activities?
