The Runaway Dinner

Our next Time Magazine recommended children’s book for this holiday season is called The Runaway Dinner and is by Allan Ahlberg and Bruce Ingman.

The plot of this story involves a dinner that doesn’t want to be eaten so it jumps off the plate and escapes out the door, getting into various adventures along the way.

While the idea might seem silly to adults, children will probably find it amusing. Thinking about it from another angle, this would be how the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park felt when the humans didn’t want to become dinner either!
