So Sleepy Story

So Sleepy Story by Uri Shulevitz is the next book on Time’s Children’s Book list this year and is appropriate for children up to 7 years of age.

The best use of this text is probably as a bedtime story since the while idea of the book is that the main character and everything in his room are all in the process of falling asleep.

Interestingly, in the middle of the story, everything comes to wide-awake life in the middle of the night evoking a comparison between our bodies’ inactivity and the mind’s activity during dreams.
