Kids Health Truth And Fiction

I just found a really good article that I want to share with parents. It is about the myths and truths of children’s health.

I have paraphrased below some of the questions explored in the article. What do you think is the right answer to each of these? Is your answer based on something your doctor said or is it an old wive’s tale passed down from generation to generation. Could your answer even have been conventional wisdom at one time, but the conventional wisdom has changed?

– Can you diagnose your child’s condition and its severity by the color of the mucus?

– Are colds and flu more contagious before or after the symptoms start? Are they equally contagious regardless of symptoms?

– Are colds responsible for ear infections?

For the answers to these and other myths and facts of children’s health, check out this article.
