Blaming Society

James Lehman’s Total Transformation Program aims to create what he calls a “culture of responsibility” in a child’s environment.

I believe he is definitely on the right track. I am so sick of constantly hearing people make excuses for bad behavior (in reference to adults as well kids). People need to stop blaming society, television, movies, music, and every other convenient scapegoat for bad behavior. It is more than time that blame starts being put exactly where it belongs – and that means on the individual responsible. That’s right – on the individual.

No matter what contributing factors lead into an individual making a certain decision, the individual must be accountable for making the decision, executing it, and accepting the consequences. The sooner kids learn that, the better off they (and everyone else around them) will be.
