Flotsam Children’s Book

The final children’s book in the holiday recommendation series is titled Flotsam and is written by Caldecott Medal winner David Wiesner.

Flotsam is a wordless picture book. School Library Journal suggests it is appropriate for grades K-4 while Booklist said pre-K-2. Considering that the story is told only through pictures, I agree more with Booklist. Even grade 2 seems a little old for a wordless book to me.

The storyline has a boy discovering a camera as he walks along the beach. The film holds pictures of magical undersea events.
