We need a throwback to the 1980’s here when it comes to cell phone upgrade fees: Just Say No.
That’s right, it really is that simple. You may not be able to get the fee credited or simply not attached to your account at the retail store level, but you can get it done from the customer service line of the cellular carrier. As usual, talk to a supervisor if necessary. If that still doesn’t work and your cell phone company is refusing to reward your customer loyalty, simply switch to another carrier completely. You will actually be better off because the new carrier will not only waive activation fess, it will also give you brand new phones for free as an incentive to switch.
