Cool Ringtones
It used to be that phones had one sound – a mechanical bell. Why? They had mechanical bells in them. Those phones have gone the way of the black & white TV set. Although we still say a phone is “ringing,” that’s really a left over phrase from the bygone error.
Today’s phones let you know that someone is calling by playing sound effects, Oscar-winning scores from your favorite movie, the latest top 40 hit, or themes and quotes from popular TV shows.
Ringtones are a fun way to personalize your phones. They sure do make answering the phone easier in group settings too. It’s no longer necessary to duplicate those scenes in movies in which a cell phone is heard ringing and all the people in the room suddenly try to answer their own since they don’t know whose is actually making the noise.
