Cell Phone Headsets Review
Can anyone hear anyone now? If not, cell phone headsets just might be to blame.
A couple years a go, I went through an annoying period dealing with inadequately made and poorly performing cell phone headsets. I had differetn brands and they were absolutely terrible. The people on the other end complained constantly about the sound quality. Though I could never adjust the microphone loud enough, they sounded fine on my end. I could live with the occasional low volume, but my problem was that they just stopped working.
It would either be that the mic failed and the person on the other end suddenly couldn’t hear my anymore or the earpiece stopped transmitting anything. I had bought two different brands to which this happened. Then I wrote to the manufacturers for replacements. In both cases, the replacements failed also. That is completely unacceptable.
I’m, not mentioning the other two brands because I am not giving them any free publicity. Finally, I found a decent headset that has great volume control and everyone I talk to says it sounds like I am on a regular phone.
This good one is a Plantronics Deluxe Universal Headset. Plantronics is the most popular kind (indeed the only kind I’ve ever seen in many offices I’ve worked in) of headset used in offices and call centers so it only makes sense that they would make a decent product for cell phones as well.
