The Laughing Bride

Before I get to the serious part of this blog entry which is about 1st Class Wedding Invitations, let me share a wedding story.

I once went to a wedding in which the bride repeatedly kept trying to stifle a laugh while standing at the altar during the middle of the ceremony! You’ve probably been in a similar (though I hope not exact) situation such trying not to laugh at an inappropriate moment like when you think of a joke in the middle of a college lecture or when a job interviewer knocks over something on his or her desk in a manner like a sitcom character while you being interviewed.

So, this laughing bride tried a variety of ways to hide the laugh. She did the fake cough and covered her mouth with her gloved hand. She put her face down and held her bridal bouquet up to it as much as possible. She tried turning her body away from the groom and the priest as much as possible. Nothing was working. The priest even gave her a stern look at one point because of it.

Wedding Video Reveals All

It turned out later when I saw the couple’s wedding video that the videographer had a different angle on the couple and the situation then the rest of us. It was all the groom’s fault! On the video, you can clearly see him making goofy faces at the bride every time the priest looked down. Like a schoolboy, he was doing it on purpose and trying to “get away with it while getting the other person in trouble.” As the ceremony progressed, the groom got more persistent in trying to crack up his new wife. At least she got a man who gave her several years of laughter afterwards!

I started off promising to write about wedding invitations at new site I discovered today. It’s called 1st Class Wedding Invitations and you can see an example of their offerings below. I like how the sites is organized and I think brides will as well since they will waste no tiem finding exactly what they are looking for. The can browse the selection by color (more than twenty categories), paper type, or by theme. Interesting themes included fairy take weddings, destination weddings, and beach weddings.

They use a printing process that results in slightly raised letters. I like that too as it is very classy. Brides will also appreciate the informative articles on different aspects of wedding invitations such as proper addressing techniques and assembly. I almost forgot to mention another really neat feature of the site. When you open a product page, you can hover over the invitation picture with your mouse and you get an enlarged, zoomed in view of the item. It really allows you to see the detail and craftsmanship in the work., , ,
