Car Stereo Equipment

Is it worth it to upgrade to an expensive sound system for your car instead of just accepting the manufacturer’s standard audio configuration for that model?

I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this, but I say probably not. It would take an awful lot to convince me that the sound quality (while admittedly being slightly different) is so different that it is worth additional funding.

Considering the fact that any time you are in a car, there are uncontrollable outside noises such as sirens, wind noise, and even road noise, you will never get perfect quality sound anyway, so why pay more trying to achieve the impossible?
