Mother’s Day Memory

Now that Easter has passed, what’s the next gift giving occasion on your mind? Is it Mother’s Day?

I have a funny Mother’s Day memory from when I was a kid to share today as part of this blog entry. One year, we went to a restaurant on Mother’s Day. My mother ordered fries. When they arrived, she opened up a salt package and sprinkled the salt on them. When she tasted the fries, she made a funny face. She told us that they didn’t taste right. She said it wasn’t that they were bad, but just not right somehow.

We all tried them cautiously. Any guesses as to what happened? It turned out that she had mistakenly used a small packet of sugar instead of salt!

This doesn’t have to happen to you this Mother’s Day because you can skip the restaurant all together if you like and do your shopping online. Whether you live close to your mom or thousands of miles away, you can still get the same great Mother’s Day gifts and have them delivered directly to your door.

The first thing that probably comes to mind is getting flowers. I have sent flowers before using 1800Flowers.com because it was so simple. One thing I like about the site is that they also have other gifts as well so you can make it a one stop shopping destination without ever leaving your home or office.
