Cadbury Crème Eggs Cadbury Cream Eggs

Cadbury Creme Eggs – what a fun topic to discuss right before Easter! (I spelled it as “crème” and “cream” in the title so people will be sure to find it when they are searching online. The correct spelling of the product’s name is the former.)

I am putting this entry in the childhood nostalgia category because I went to the department store tonight and when I saw the packages of Cadbury Crème Eggs, I instantly had flashbacks to how much I loved them when I was a kid.

I used to always wait until the day after Easter to get them because our local CVS would put them on sale for ten cents each the day after the holiday. That was the time to stock up. They would also put the bags of jelly beans on sale for ten cents too on the day after Easter. (I remember thinking what a bargain that was every year for anyone who followed the Orthodox calendar in which Easter is celebrated week later.)

I also remember the commercials Cadbury used to run with the bunny making the chicken sounds as well other animals auditioning to be the Cadbury bunny. What funny memories we have associated with products.

I know a few years back, the company also added Caramel Eggs to the line, but I discovered something new at the store tonight. They now have Orange Crème Eggs too! I confess that I had to buy a package to try them because I love the taste of orange and chocolate together. They were awesome. I suggest you try them before they are gone for the season.
