Are You Ready To Get Happy
I always find it interesting to see what the latest buzz in the world of self-help for happiness is. Remember, Abraham Lincoln said words to the effect of most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be. That is a good philosophy and perhaps just hearing that and thinking about it is enough to get some people in a positive frame of mind and get them to re-evaluate their lives.
However, for most people, they need a little more guidance or motivation than one wise saying. They ened some extra regarding how to “make up their minds to be happy.” Hence the popularity of programs like The Sedona Method promoted by author and teacher Hale Dwoskin who people may recognize from the movie or the book The Secret.
For an in depth and free sneak peak at some of the methods described in The Sedona method, you can visit the Sedona website and read an excerpt from a book by Marci Shimoff called Happy for No Reason. The book’s subtitle is 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out. (The website also offers a free DVD and CD to introduce you to the Sedona program)
One of the points emphasized in the book is letting go of negative thoughts. That is wise advice, indeed. Who hasn’t dwelled on negative thoughts to the detriment of their peace and well being?
