Have you seen advertising for the company lifelock? That’s the one for which the ads usually start off with the CEO sharing his social security number with the world.

I wonder who came up with that advertising concept for the company. It’s almost shocking in this day and age of identity theft worries to hear someone announce a social security number like that. Of course, that’s the point and it explains why the commercials command your attention when you see them.

If you visit Lifelock’s website, you can see videos when the company was featured on different news programs and I’m sure you can see the CEO in action in those too.

I think the most interesting benefit they offer is what they call “recovering your good name” if something goes wrong and you are a victim of identity theft despite the fraud prevention methods they help you put into place. The website explains that they will hire lawyers and investigators if necessary to help you straighten out the situation. They must be pretty confident in their services in order to offer a guarantee like that.
