Rudolph Plan Web Hosting

At this time of year (mid-December) when one sees a headline that says, “Are you on the Rudolph plan?” you know that it just has to be checked out. I wanted to know what they were talking about.

As indicated in my own blog entry title, they are talking about a website hosting plan. This is one of those pay one fee one time plans that then gives the user lifetime hosting rights including an enormous amount of disk space, bandwidth, website design software, and MYSQL databases.

An interesting addition to this package though is that includes one domain name as well. (You can host additional domain names too, but you would have to pay for those separately.)

I’m wondering if any readers out there have ever used an all-inclusive webhosting plan like the Rudolf 1000. (The company spelled it as both Rudolph and Rudolf so I don’t know which they prefer although I did see it written with the “F” at the end more frequently.) I’ve heard of similar plans before, but never really researched them.

I’d really like to hear some feedback on these kinds of plans. Hosting prices can start to climb up there, especially if you have multiple sites. This seems like an amazing deal and money-saver.

What do you think?
