Cooking Scrambled Eggs

(You’ve joined this fictional story in progress. See Children’s Book link on the right to follow the story in order.)

On Monday, Courtney’s mother said, “Today, I will show you how to cook scrambled eggs. Please take two eggs out of the refrigerator.” Courtney did not want to learn how to cook scrambled eggs, but she did her best to listen to her mother.

Courtney wondered what would happen if she juggled the eggs on her way to the counter. SPLAT! The eggs made a gooey mess. “We scramble eggs in a bowl, not on the floor, dear,” her mother said patiently.

Courtney had a terrible time learning how to cook scrambled eggs. It was her first kitchen disaster.
