Baking Lesson

On Tuesday, her mother said, “Today, I will show you how to bake a cake. Everything we need is in the bowl. Turn the mixer on and blend everything together.” Courtney did not want to learn how to bake a cake, but she did her best to listen to her mother.

Courtney wondered what would happen if she turned the mixer on high. WHRR! The mixer hit the side of the bowl and went wild. Globs of cake mix dripped from Courtney’s mother’s nose. “It’s much easier if we keep the mix and mixer inside the bowl, dear,” Courtney’s mother said patiently.

Courtney had a terrible time learning how to bake a cake. It was her second kitchen disaster.
