Kids Taking Time Out of School for Vacation
Should kids take time out of school for family vacation?
This topic can cause quite a bit of debate among parents and educators.
Some people argue that school is not the only environment for learning and that learning opportunities can be found throughout the world therefore vacations can do double duty as educational trips too. Other people argue that two and half months in the summer and three full weeks, not to mention long weekends throughout the school year are more than sufficient time for a family to schedule vacation and there is no reason to take time away from school during the academic year.
What do you think?
Would you or have you taken your kids out of school for a vacation?
