Running With Chopsticks

Yes, I know the title of this entry, Runing With Chopsticks sounds like it should be a career-launching, quirky, indpendent movie.

Actually, it was yet another parenting observation I made the other day. I was at achiniese restaurant and noticed a mother with several kids. She apparently didn’t think it was a problem that they were running around the restaurant chasing each other while holding sharp chopsticks.

Just imagine what would have happened if onethe kids had tripped.

What would the mother do? Would she blame the restaurant for having chopsticks and putting her precious children in harm’s way? Would she sue them? Probably. Would she end up with money from the retsaurant’s insurance company? Probably. Would she take responsbility for her own lack of proper parenting? Never!

What do you think?
