Booster Car Seat

I was reading the AAA newsletter the other day and there was a front page story with a statistic that should be brought to parents’ attention immediately. Did you know that the leading cause of death for children ages four to eight is motor vehicle accidents? The article also stated that children in that same age group are 59% less likely to be injured if they are secured in a booster seat as opposed to being fastened into a regular lap-shoulder safety belt.

I don’t ever remember using a booster seat when I was a kid. Maybe they weren’t as prevalent then or the statistics were not known then. Once you know that, it makes you think about safe it is when you are transporting your own children with booster seats.
