Serenity Prayer For Parents

Everyone is familiar with the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Since I have done a lot of recent blog entries about dealing with teenagers, I think parents deserve their own specialized version so I have shared that below. It also applies to children of any other age as well.

God grant me the serenity
to laugh off certain things my child does or says;
to get upset and take action when justified and necessary;
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Parents, do you have your own version?
