Police CD Awesome
Remember last month when I wrote about the new Police CD? Well, now I actually have the CD and can report that it is just as awesome as I expected it would be! The CD was released just a couple weeks ago (June 5th) so you can still be among the first to get it although no doubt sales have been going wild already. Actually, I shouldn’t just be calling it a CD since it is a 2 disc compilation. There is so much great music that they needed more room for it!
Be sure to check out the band’s official page at ThePolice.com where you can link to their MySpace page, join the fan club, get all the current concert information so you can see them in person (again) and also buy official band merchandise from their online store. You might as well get your T-shirts and other stuff before the concert so you don’t have to even think about it while you’re there when you would rather just be enjoying the music.
If you want more information, check out The Police banner on the bottom of this entry. It is a new type of interactive banner that you can use as a menu to get you exactly the info you want about the band. I love the idea of the way the banner is set up. I wish all advertising was like that. You get to skip right ot the part that you want to know about.
The best feature is that you can watch videos right from the banner. (I’m playing the Every Breath You Take video while I am typing this entry! Memories!)
Here are some of the other features: You can also get a complete jukebox like track list so you can be sure that the CD’s contain your favorite police song. Enter their contest and you could win a trip to New York to see the band perform live or just get tour information to see when they will be playing near you. Use the send to a friend feature to share with other Police fans. Why not send it to whomever accompanied you to your last Police concert?
If you want to have the music with you wherever you go, check out the ringtones for your cellphone.
If all that isn’t enough, I almost forgot to mention that there is a bonus packed inside with the two CD’s. It’s a vintage 1979 concert poster. I bet you thought you would never get the chance to have it again if the first one was lost.
