Kids With Their Own Phones
It’s funny how things change over the years in some ways. I remember that years ago it was a big deal when you were a kid if you had your own phone in your bedroom. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you had your own phone number, but just an extension so you could talk privately on the phone.
What a joke that is today when so many households are giving up their landlines completely and every member of the household has his or her own cell phone. Also, more and more kids get their own laptops too.
Now that kids can be in constant communication with their friends, the next question is if they are better off because of it.

I not only remember extentions, but party lines from where i come from. We had a party line with one other lady in our rural neighborhood and she would always try to listen to our teenage conversations!! i laugh now!
