Reading Time
I was reading something the other day that mentioned that kids don’t read anymore. Clearly, that isn’t true. They read when they are motivated to do so. J.K. Rowling did not singlehandedly purchase all 13.5 million copies of the latest Harry Potter
book.
Why this persistent argument that they don’t read? Probably because they spend such a small amount of time doing so compared to both the time they spend on everything else as well as the time other generations may have spent on recreational reading. Still, someone is buying Children’s books. Publisher’s Weekly just reported that year to year sales have increased.
The best way to get your children motivated to read more is to be a good role model. So get yourself over to Amazon.com and re-discover what you’ve been missing.
